Maintenance Technician - Facilities Mgmt/Research Administration Facilities

This position is located at The Michale E. Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research in Bastrop, Texas.
Salary Range: $32,000(min) $40,000(mid) $48,000(max)

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to provide routine sub-journeyman level work in a designated craft. Impacts routine maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment, systems, buildings, grounds, and other associated responsibilities with minimal technical supervision.
Under direct supervision performs routine and preventative maintenance on various equipment, buildings, grounds and utility systems using one or more craft trade skills. Maintains records of materials, jobs, and other pertinent information.
Institutional Vehicles: Perform routine maintenance and service on Institutional vehicles including REF and DVS. Perform the annual state inspection on Institutional vehicles. Maintain REF heavy equipment fleet. Maintain all Institutional vehicle logs and prepare monthly mileage logs for Fleet Management. Submit logs to Fleet Management.
Facilities Grounds Maintenance: Maintain all grounds adjacent to institutional facilities including landscaped areas. Supports the development of the long range landscape efforts including plant selection to minimize water usage and maintenance cost. Assists supervision with planning, scheduling, assigning and supervising landscape and grounds activities.
Fleet Fuel Tanks: Maintain Bastrop fleet fuel tanks. Inspect and maintain fuel levels. Prepare requisition to order and replenish usage. Maintain and submit usage logs. Refuel all emergency generator tanks.
Other Duties: Other duties as assign by supervision.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:None
Certification: None
Preferred Certification: State of Texas Vehicle Inspection License.
Experience: Two years experience in one or more crafts (i. e. - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation)

Preferred Experience:
Two years experience in vehicle maintenance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
