Summary:
The intake coordinator is responsible for communicating with the client, admissions, and Willow Springs Recovery team members to ensure a courteous, and disciplined approach is followed in every aspect of transportation, intake, and orientation of new clients into Mountain springs recovery.
The intake coordinator is essential in providing a welcoming, supportive environment for all incoming clients.
MAJOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Intake coordinators enter admissions information into the systems and complete all admission paperwork.
Follow proper procedure when checking client's vitals.
Complete data entry within a timely manner into KIPU.
Facilitate blood alcohol content breathalyzer tests.
Coordinate intake with other MSR employees.
Familiar with local airports and procedures for pickup/drop off.
Send and receive emails in a timely manner, with proper response etiquette.
Collect and process drug screening analysis.
Intake coordinators verify insurance for each patient.
This may include calling insurance companies to inquire about coverage.
They also collect and process co-pays as required by the insurance company.
Answer all incoming calls.
This includes responding to questions and explaining the admissions process.
Schedule evaluations, meetings, and consultations for patients.
Requires intake coordinators to prepare and maintain patient information.
Complete new admission intake procedures according to Willow Springs Recovery policies on all new admissions (UA, belongings searches, and paperwork).
Continue to learn about alcohol and/or drug abuse and alcoholism and the principles of recovery.
Maintain client and company records utilizing a variety of internal and external data management systems to support continuity of care, manage client contacts, support transparency, comply with HIPAA standards, and promote state and federal regulations, daily.
Cultivate an understanding of community resources in addition to those provided by Willow Springs Recovery to support the additional needs of the clients we serve.
Develop a strong understanding of the rules and regulations that direct Willow Springs Recovery and In-home Supports and Services (IHSS)to maintain compliance and best support the client.
Critically analyze case documentation, behavioral and medical reports, guardianship paperwork, financial documents, and other data pertaining to promote the health and wellbeing of the people we serve, daily.
Promote excellent internal and external customer service, through written and verbal communication, to all Willow Springs Recovery employees.
Assist and participate with on-site activities, support groups, outings, and community meetings, as assigned.
Exhibit strong written and interpersonal communication skills to promote clarity of intent with all levels of communication, daily.
Maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep of program.
Utilize principles of communicable disease prevention and control.
Recognize early signs of illness and the need for professional assistance and follow through & report it immediately Recognize individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and documents when needed in communication log and/or an Incident Report.
Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.
Follows HIPAA Regulations.
Be awake during all shifts.
Sleeping is not allowed at any time.
Able to schedule staff needs appropriately for the workload.
Available to be reached at any time during the day/night.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES:
The following requirements and preferences will be evaluated and verified to establish employment eligibility.
Valid driver's license Current CPR & First Aid Certification At least one year of sobriety if in recovery required.
Experience, knowledge or interest in chemical dependency and abuse.
Two to three years' experience in human services/customer service settings preferred.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with diversity.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
