- Provide direct care and support to individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Assist residents with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with resident rights, HIPAA regulations, and agency policies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and other caregivers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with lifting and transferring residents as needed.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for residents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with resident transfers.
- Familiarity with resident rights and HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
